200 Club Celebration

Tiger Paws are handed out at Excelsior Springs Middle School as part of our acknowledgement system. These tickets are visible ways for staff to let students know we notice their leadership and responsibility. While there are many incentives tied to Tiger Paws at ESMS, one of the most exciting for students is the 200 Club.

When students save at least 200 Tiger Paws for demonstrating appropriate behavior they can redeem them for entry into the 200 Club. On Thursday, students enjoyed a pizza party and some outdoor recreation at Century Park. We are pleased to report that 16 students qualified for this year’s 200 Club. Many thanks to these students for demonstrating the GRR expectations at ESMS.

Referral-Free Recognition

Earlier today we celebrated three years of responsibility, safety and respect from the Class of 2020. The 8th grade referral free party celebrated 71 students who completed their middle school years without any major or minor office referrals (including cell phone, iPad, and Tardy violations).

This was an increase from last year's celebration honoring 67 students. Students enjoyed two hours of social time at the nearby Miracle Field and some ice pops. We are thankful for the leadership these students have demonstrated during their time at Excelsior springs Middle School.
